For We Are Human Beings
For we are free
For we are clean
No blood drips from our hands
For we are fire
For we are dance
And we fly across the night’s sky
For we swing
For we play
The day too short for all our fun.
For we sing
For we chant
together, our arms linked, hands interlocked
For we are a circle
For we are self-governed
Nobody more important than the next.
For we are children
For we are light
We shine so bright, the world applauds.
For we are wise
For we are many colors
each blending perfectly with the next.
For we are fragrant
For we are beautiful
Everyone stands in awe of our grace.
For we are forgiveness
For we are peace
A never ending call for celebration.
For we are everlasting
For we are centered
Our roots ground deep into the earth.
